  • Modeled conversations in MongoDB with embedded message documents, enabling full chat-history retrieval in a single query instead of per-message joins.
  • Developed REST endpoints for user management, conversation get-or-create, and message deletion, with a credentialed CORS policy restricting access to whitelisted origins.
  • Deployed the backend on an AWS EC2 instance with a static Elastic IP and configured security groups, while hosting the React frontend on Vercel with environment-based configuration.
